Monday Madness

Standard

Today we did some school in the morning…

A rhyming puzzle and our daily learning journal…
Then we headed to the play place for a play with other friends who homeschool.

After, we headed to the shop to get Lady P’s much desired gymnastic’s leotard…

We finished up at our best friend’s house for lunch and a play.

We came home and the kids went down for a nap while Lady P finished her learning journal, did some maths, did some imaginative play and read her book!

What did we do?

Standard

The first week I’m self-employed and home with my children has been incredibly busy but so worth it!  The kids have thrived and been really interested in learning!  I sent Cheeky Girl to nursery Monday and Tuesday but she wanted to stay home today.  I think she’s torn between going to nursery and being home!  She enjoys nursery but hates being the only one gone!

Well I kept her home and she was wonderful!  I made sure I spent some 1-to-1 time with her and she wasn’t as challenging as she normally is! Three year olds are tough little dictators!

So here is our week so far in pictures!

 At the play place.

Building her bead stair then practicing her teen numbers.

Studying her sight words, learning about Henri Matisse and doing her own paper cut-out picture.

Doing some extension work for the pink tower and brown stair, practicing numbers and counting by putting together a puzzle.

Learning about Abigail and David in the Bible, practicing matching numbers to items and doing addition and subtraction problems.

I discovered little Man is addicted to puzzles! He wants to take the pieces out and attempts to put them back.

All this plus swimming, gymnastics, park visits, and seeing friends! It’s been a good first official week!

Holiday in Scotland

Standard

We spent our half-term break in Comrie, Scotland with friends.  What an amazing trip!  We stayed in a hotel the first few days, then stayed in a large house with lovely friends! Our goal was finding snow!

We managed to find snow for one day, which was exciting for the kids as they’ve never seen it before! I really love seeing snow through my kids’ eyes!  It was so exciting!

Another day, we spent time at the Loch Earn, exploring with the kids!  It was so beautiful!

We came back all refreshed and ready to get back to home education!  I have finished working now and am finally self-employed so I’m excited to begin officially home educating my oldest!
